For more than three decades, he has led complex transportation, operations, and mobility programs for some of the world’s largest events, including Olympic Games, FIFA World Cups, Super Bowls, Presidential Inaugurations, Formula 1 Grand Prix events, and international government summits.
A Certified Government Meeting Professional (CGMP) and Certified in Meeting Management (CMM), Vasta combines engineering discipline, operational expertise, and technology innovation to help governments, venues, and enterprises optimize mobility, public safety, crowd flow, and real-time operations. He is recognized as a trusted advisor to organizations including the U.S. Conference of Mayors, U.S. Department of State, major sports leagues, and global event organizers.
Tish Maes
Chief Operating Officer
Tish Maes is Chief Operating Officer of Vasta & Associates and a key leader behind the development and deployment of the EventQueue platform. With more than twenty years of experience in event operations, transportation management, and technology integration, she oversees operational strategy and large-scale program execution across public and private sector environments.
Prior to joining VAI, Maes served in leadership roles within the City and County of Denver, including Special Assistant to Mayor Wellington Webb. Her experience spans international delegations, major sporting events, and U.S. State Department initiatives, bringing a unique combination of operational leadership, public-sector experience, and technology implementation expertise.
Darrell Collins
Chief Administrative Officer
Darrell Collins is a senior operations executive with more than thirty years of experience leading complex transportation, logistics, construction, and event management programs. He specializes in building high-performing teams, implementing operational systems, and delivering results in demanding, multi-agency environments.
His portfolio includes leadership roles supporting Olympic Games, FIFA World Cups, Super Bowls, Presidential Inaugurations, and national political conventions. Collins brings deep expertise in contracting, administration, infrastructure coordination, and operational execution for large-scale public and private sector initiatives.
Andrew Lawrence
Chief Strategy & Client Services Officer
Andrew Lawrence brings more than three decades of experience in transportation, hospitality, destination management, and client engagement. Since supporting the 1994 FIFA World Cup, he has contributed to the successful execution of major international sporting events, government programs, and large-scale hospitality operations.
Known for his leadership, relationship management, and operational expertise, Lawrence helps bridge strategy and execution while ensuring exceptional stakeholder, guest, and client experiences across complex event environments.
Robert H. Block
General Counsel & Corporate Secretary
Robert H. Block has served as a trusted advisor to Vasta & Associates since its founding. A seasoned attorney and Certified Public Accountant, he brings more than forty years of experience in corporate transactions, contracts, tax matters, litigation, and risk management.
Block has supported major national and international programs including U.S. State Department summits, Olympic-related initiatives, Presidential Inaugurations, and Super Bowls. His guidance ensures legal compliance, contractual integrity, and sound corporate governance across all VAI engagements.
Scott Schimpff
Chief Technology Officer
Scott Schimpff is a technology executive with more than twenty-five years of experience leading enterprise information systems, digital infrastructure, and operational technology deployments. As CTO, he oversees the technology architecture, systems integration, GIS capabilities, and platform deployment strategies supporting EventQueue and VAI operations.
His background includes leadership roles within Chicago Public Schools and contributions to major international events, including Olympic Games, G7 Summits, and Presidential Inaugurations. Schimpff specializes in translating complex operational environments into scalable technology solutions that deliver real-time situational awareness and operational intelligence.
Charles D. Scurr
Senior Advisor, Government & Infrastructure Strategy
Charles Scurr is a nationally respected public-sector executive with extensive experience in transportation policy, municipal governance, infrastructure oversight, and public funding. As former Executive Director of the Citizens’ Independent Transportation Trust in Miami-Dade County, he oversaw major transit investments and strategic transportation initiatives.
His career includes executive leadership positions at both city and county levels, along with involvement in major civic and sporting events. Scurr provides strategic guidance on government relations, transportation policy, infrastructure investment, and public-sector partnerships.

Johann Sedlmair is a business transformation and technology strategist with extensive experience leading enterprise architecture, analytics, and digital modernization initiatives for global organizations. Dileepa Chandraskrara
Vice President, Engineering & Platform Development
Dileepa Chandraskrara leads engineering and software development initiatives supporting the EventQueue platform. With expertise spanning full-stack development, mobile applications, cloud architectures, and enterprise software frameworks, he has played a key role in advancing the EQ ecosystem and SDK architecture.
A graduate of the University of Moratuwa with a degree in Computer Science and Engineering, Chandraskrara oversees platform engineering, Android development, software releases, and technical implementation efforts that support EQ’s operational intelligence capabilities.
